The K-pop industry is no stranger to dramatic agency shifts, but the story of USPEER (유스피어) is particularly poetic. Just six months after their June 2025 debut with the high-energy single "ZOOM," the group has officially moved to MW Entertainment, a boutique agency founded by the "Midas Touch" of K-pop, Lee Wonmin.
A Strategic Reunion
Lee Wonmin, the visionary founder of WM Entertainment who discovered legends like B1A4, Oh My Girl, and ONF, stepped down from his former company in late 2025 following a management rift with parent company RBW.
However, his "last masterpiece"—the 7-member girl group USPEER—wasn't left behind. In an unprecedented move, WM Entertainment agreed to transfer the group’s exclusive contracts and trademark rights to Lee’s new venture, MW Entertainment. This allows USPEER to keep their name, discography, and identity while returning to the creative direction of the man who spent years training them.
What to Expect in 2026
Now operating out of a new headquarters in Mangwon-dong (ironically the birthplace of the original WM), MW Entertainment has confirmed that USPEER is the agency’s top priority.
• New Music: A comeback is officially slated for the first half of 2026.
• Creative Reset: While their debut under WM was characterized by a "Cyber-Core" and "Speed" aesthetic, fans are eager to see if Lee Wonmin will steer them toward the whimsical, high-concept storytelling he is famous for.
• The Team: Reports suggest that many long-time staff and executives who worked with Lee during the "Golden Era" of Oh My Girl have joined him at MW, promising a high-quality return for the group.
